Volunteer for EmpowHER

• Reach out to your alma mater to ensure students and faculty are aware of EmpowHER
• Review applications each year to help select new EmpowHER participants
• Provide professional development opportunities to EmpowHER participants and alumnae, including by hosting workshops and special events
• Provide mentorship to younger generations throughout the summer and beyond

Volunteer at Our Events

• Lend at hand at Welcome to Washington, our summer kick-off, welcoming our newest cohort of BA women to the family  (annually in June)
• Volunteer at professional development and networking events throughout each summer to support women participating in EmpowHER. 
• Get involved at Breaking Barriers, our annual gala and largest fundraiser  (each November)

IN-KIND DONATIONS

Each month, BA businesses and individuals contribute much-needed items to support our BA Women. In-kind contributions are especially important during the summer months, as we host EmpowHER participants in Washington D.C. Our needs include:

• Welcome gifts to distribute to EmpowHER participants at our annual Welcome to Washington orientation
• Meeting space to host events including professional development workshops & networking events with EmpowHER participants
• Covered costs and/or logistic for 1 social event per week for 8 weeks this summer
• Food, snacks/appetizers/or meals and drinks to keep EmpowHER participants well fed & focused
• Stationary and stamps, to help us appreciate our supporters like you!
• Transportation: Metro/Uber/Lyft for EmpowHER participants
