Sonia Adame, 2018 STEM Scholar
Sonia Adame recently graduated from Colorado State University (CSU) in Fort Collins, Colorado. While at CSU, she double majored in social work and biological science with a concentration in anatomy. Sonia was a member of the Water Sustainability Fellowship Program and the president of Dreamers United at CSU; which provides resources and support for Dreamers on campus. With the support of the B.A Rudolph Foundation, Sonia continued her service interning with the Colorado Water Institute. She worked with the communities of Elyria-Swansea and Globeville in the Denver Metro Area, mentoring local students and working with the community to solve and educate about the water issues that the community faces. Sonia aspires to enter the dual master’s program in public health and social work at the Colorado School of Public Health.
